November- December 2018

This Holiday season, Our team gave back in a huge way! In collaboration with #givingtuesday we decided to ask our guest at a Thanksgiving inspired, Friendsgiving to bring can goods and other non-perishable goods for those in need. We were able to donate those items to the YWCA of Greater Cleveland. In December, we partnered with HeavenTrain, a mobile community organization that brings a spiritual word as well as food and clothing to an under-served community in Cleveland area. We gifted 10 surprise boxes for boys and girls to be distributed throughout the holiday. Lastly, We were able to give gifts to a local classroom in another under-served Cleveland community. We were so honored to serve so many and hope that they will be forever touched as we are.

September-October 2018

In the month’s of September and October, We volunteered with The Cleveland Kids In Need Resource Center. We helped stock, restock, stage merchandise throughout the store, and assisted with the Teacher’s shop day!

Cleveland Kids In Need Resource Center is a local, independent nonprofit that helps to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies to teachers of the students who are most in need.

Kids In Need bridges the gap between great need and available resources to provide school supplies to teachers and their students. Each year, the Center receives more than $1 million worth of nationally- and locally-donated supplies for distribution. These donations come from major companies like Elmers, Dixon Ticonderoga, Office Max, 3M and many others.

They accept these product donations and use the financial donations to purchase brand new school supplies, and then redistribute them through the Resource Center, to those who need it most. The Center is a 15,000 square foot facility in the heart of Cleveland where eligible teachers can come to shop for school supplies free of charge once a semester.

Kids In Need relies on dedicated community members who volunteer their time to keeping shelves stocked and helping the teachers during shopping hours.

August 2018

August is back to school time for many students and we wanted to send our future entrepreneurs, doctors, artist and whatever they want to be, in style and more than ready for their new school year! We initiated a back to school social media book bag giveaway, gave three book bags to three special students at the Real Black Friday Event in Cleveland, Ohio and we donated three book bags full of supplies to the YWCA and the Greater Cleveland Kids in Need Resource center collectively.

July 2018

Dream Halo had the opportunity to help the community alongside New Community Bible Fellowship of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and their #makeclevelandbetter initiative! We helped maintain and lay mulch in the front yard of a beautiful couple’s home. They were so grateful but we were also so grateful for the ability to serve them during their need. We hope to continue our partnership with the Care Program.

If you're someone who would like to spend some time during the week volunteering to help senior citizens live a better life by performing routine maintenance or home repair, the CARE Program is for you!

At Dream Halo Foundation's Mother's Day Affair on May 5th, we collected over 65 personal items for the mother and children of the City Mission's: Laura's Home in Cleveland, Ohio.

On Sunday, May 6th, we hand delivered our donations to Laura's home and what an amazing experience. From the moment we entered the building we were greeted with so much love and appreciation and you can feel that same energy resting among everyone. The staff at Laura's Home expressed how the women will be so happy to receive the items.

Their mission and goal for the community in rehabilitating woman and children has made a definite impact within families and has changed many lives. We are excited to continue our partnership with them and thank everyone for all of their donations.
